A Harmony 1964 H165 that has been restored with a player needs in mind while preserving the guitar’s much loved ladders brace tone. Neck has been reset, top loading bridge has been upgraded to a pin bridge. Sound hole braces added for long term stability. New Tuners. Solid Mahogany top back and sides. Brazilian Rosewood bridge and fret board. Condition is VG. Relief is 0.01” action is 6/64 B and 6/64 T.

These guitars have a warm tone that fits an important playing and recording niche. In this configuration the guitar is similar in composition and tone to a 00017. These guitars are a cost effective way to add an all mahogany ladder braced tone to a mix.

This particular guitar has one of the most impressive quarter sawn mahogany tops you will see. For a 60 year old guitar it is extremely clean.

If you’re interested in the addition of a pickup our guitar tech can make that happen.

We would argue given the tone, condition and materials used, that a properly restored H162 or H165 (name plate aside) are a bargain when compared to similarly priced instrument.

Many of theses woods, at this quality are simply no longer available. US made, 60 year old woods and just fun to play.
