Generally seen as Gibson budget starter electric guitar the melody maker has its devotees and its place in rock history. Good vintage version are increasingly hard to find.
 
The new versions are impressive. It’s hard to put this guitar down, and it’s hard not to want to turn it up. This guitar puts on a show when you roll it up and drive an amp.
 
There is something appealing in the mininalism of two humbucker two controls and a switch, it frees you to be creative. The guitar is further simplified by a wrap around bridge .
 
Whether you looking for a starter guitar or affordable simplicity that drives an amp this guitar is ideal. Much like the vintage named sake, this little budget guitar has attracted a following. While less than 10 years old, clean unplayed versions are bringing substantially more every time we look.  It came us as part of a deal….. and we are glad it did.
