For your consideration a Heritage H150 quilted lemon top.
It is hard to believe that the folks at Heritage have been keeping alive the tradition of building premier guitars at the 225 Parson Street, Kalamazoo MI ( former Gibson factor) location for 40+ years.
At the time this guitar was manufactured, much of the equipment, templates and many of the employees who built the classic Les Pauls were still there. This guitar is from what we feel is one of the high points of Heritage guitar. This guitar will rival the Les Paul of that era.
We selected this guitar because of its resonate tone and the quality of the top which is outstanding and highlighted beautifully by the lemon finish. It has the tone expected from a well executed instrument with Seymour Duncan Seth Lovers and is unburdened by the modern electronics of many of the analogues. It is what this guitar is supposed be. The guitar tone of this H150 is old school Les Paul.
The top, back and sides are clean. There is minimal fret wear. We would have rated the guitar as very good except for minor play wear on the neck that bothered us. We had the Luthier addressed them for playability. The neck is now smooth and plays like butter. While you can no longer feel the wear, if you look really closely you can see it.
So the guitar is priced according and would make an incredible player. This guitar is very resonant for a solid body and is a must play.
