Gibson made Kalamazoo KG-31 Model Arch Top Acoustic Guitar, prior to 1936, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst lacquer finish, solid mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard.

Length is 41 in. Lower bout is 16 1/4

in. wide and 3 1/4 in. sides. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. Nut is 1 3/4 in.

Two small cracks on the back have been glued and cleated and over sprayed. They are invisible unless you work to see them and stabilized the guitar (see photos). We also stabilized the minor amount of blistering on the neck which is not noticeable while playing. Other than scratches the spruce top is clean. The headstock face finish was damaged by an adhesive sticker (from the 60s); the sticker was removed and and the face was resprayed for cosmetic reasons. The pick guard is not original. The neck is straight and the guitar has been set to play exceptional well. While it is an acoustic blues machine it was designed for folk and jazz and has the sound of the era. Fun to play.

Overall Very Good condition and the cosmetic work makes the guitar pop. These guitars are gibson made, solid woods and a bargain regardless of whether you are an arch or flat top player. Why f hole guitars of this quality ever fell out of fashion I will never know.
