A fundamental guitar set up requires measurement, documentation and adjusting the following parameters 1. Establish a preferred string size and type 2. A relief measurement at the 6th fret. Adjust the truss rod accordingly to the specifications of your guitar type. Enhances playability in the middle of fret board 3. Action measurement at 1st and 12th fret 4. Nut tuning if needed (enhances playability at the 1st fret ) 5. Bridge adjustment (improves playability up the fret board ) 6. Adjust intonation. 7. Evaluate the need for additional services Fret board cleaning, fret and nut polishing (we polish to 8000 grit). Level and crowning of frets. These services are a modest up-charge 95% of the time this will set your right, however There are times when minor adjustments won’t do. At that point we will recommend a course of action.
